VACATION CAMP FASO MÊBO FROM OUAGADOUGOU, 2ND WAVE Campers discover Ouagadougou airport, the air base and the Thomas-SANKARA Memorial (Ouagadougou, September 19, 2025). The participants in the 2nd wave of the Faso Mêbo Holiday Camp in Ouagadougou carried out, this Thursday, a discovery outing at Ouagadougou International Airport, at the Air Base and at the Thomas-SANKARA Memorial. At Ouagadougou International Airport, the Campers visited the presidential lounge, the airport tarmac, the rescue and fire fighting services, the immigration services. After the airport, the procession of campers set off for the Air Base. On this site, the Campers visited the fleet of the air base and the various technical services. Through the visit of these two sites, it is a question of showing the efforts of the authorities in the field of civil and military aviation and of encouraging vocations in the field. The campers then joined the Thomas-SANKARA Memorial. From the statue of President Thomas SANKARA and his 12 companions to the Mausoleum via Thomas SANKARA's office, the scene of the crime of October 15, 1987, they discovered the personality of President Thomas SANKARA, his vision, his achievements and his emblematic quotes.
