The 80g certification enables ngo that are eligible in India to provide their donors with tax deduction based on their contribution according to section 80g of income tax act. In the case of nonprofit organizations such certification could motivate donations from donors where the money is used in the right way as per the charity. There are certain requirements that need to be met by ngo for them to get the certification.
